Refine the ignition area of your Chevrolet or GMC OBS interior with this precision-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum ignition key cover plate. The polished aluminum plate overlays the matching factory rubber ignition surround for an understated OEM+ upgrade.
Product Details
- Material: 6061-T6 billet aluminum.
- Finish: Polished aluminum; the surface can be refinished to suit your preferred appearance.
- Fit: Overlay for the original factory rubber ignition surround; not a replacement ignition switch or lock cylinder.
- Quantity: One ignition key cover plate per order.
- Adhesive: Not included. Suitable automotive-grade mounting tape, such as 3M™ VHB, may be used after checking surface compatibility.
Vehicle Fitment
Primary fitment: 1995–1998 Chevrolet and GMC OBS pickups and SUVs equipped with the matching original ignition surround. 1999 OBS carryover models may also fit where the same factory surround was retained. Not all 1999 Chevrolet or GMC trucks use the same interior: compare your original rubber surround with the product photos before ordering.
Installation Notes
Test-fit over the original ignition surround before applying adhesive. Make sure the mounting surface is clean and dry, and check that the new overlay will not interfere with the key or ignition operation. Follow the adhesive manufacturer's preparation and cure instructions.
